Respecting Cultural Use of Tobacco

We recognize and respect the traditional tobacco by various cultures in the region. We understand that traditional tobacco is often used in sacred ceremonies and is not the same as commercial tobacco or nicotine products.

While we acknowledge and respect the spiritual and cultural significance of traditional tobacco use, we also want to address the serious health risks associated with commercial tobacco and nicotine products, such as e-cigarettes, cigarettes, cigars, and smokeless tobacco. We encourage open communication and education about the differences between traditional and commercial tobacco, emphasizing the importance of protecting public health.
