Levon Hupfer is a proud husband and father in his home county, where he serves as the Deputy Executive Director of the Adams County Health Department. He is also humbled to be a practicing licensed addiction counselor in Commerce City. He served 10 years as the Director of Diversion, Health, and Legislation for the Adams and Broomfield District Attorney’s Office. While there, he tackled issues of youth violence, intimate partner violence, and alternative prosecution and sentencing through behavioral health interventions and legislative solutions. Before working for the District Attorney, he was the administrator of a 50-bed treatment program for the Colorado Division of Youth Services. He has had past Governor appointments to the Tony Grampsas Youth Services Board and the State Board of Addiction Counselors. He has been an instructor in the Graduate Department of Psychology at Colorado State University for the past eight years. His passion is using his expertise to disrupt and transform systems from the inside out using equity, liberation, and justice principles.
