Breastfeeding Support & Services
Breastfeeding is not a one-size-fits-all journey! Explore how our team can guide parents through in-person breastfeeding support, classes, and a pump loan program.

The Perfect Food for Babies to Grow and Develop
We support all families in their journey, no matter how they choose to give milk to their babies. All are welcome!
There are many known health benefits of breastfeeding for both the parent and baby! The Academy of Pediatrics recommends breastfeeding exclusively until six months old and then continuing breastfeeding until at least two years old. Let us support you no matter where you are in your breastfeeding journey.

Whether pregnant or adjusting to life with a baby, connection with other moms can make all the difference! Our Breastfeeding Peer Counselors are moms who have been in your shoes and are now available to provide information and support through text or call seven days a week. In addition to peer support, you will gain valuable knowledge about feeding based on your child’s age and developmental stage. Current WIC clients can sign up through their local WIC clinic or email BFPC@adcogov.org.
Clients currently enrolled in WIC may be eligible to borrow a breast pump for free! Our WIC team can help you determine the right pump for your needs. Call your local WIC office to schedule an appointment or complete our request form.
Our team has advanced breastfeeding training and is ready to help you meet your goals at no cost! Our lactation consultants can meet with you at our clinics to offer personalized one-on-one support and education.
We can help you with:
- Milk supply concerns
- Latching difficulty
- Infant weight gain concerns

Every Thursday, we host Baby Café at our North Broadway office (7000 N. Broadway, #400, Denver) from 11 a.m. to noon. Baby Café USA is a national network of free breastfeeding support groups where moms can connect with other moms and have their questions answered by a breastfeeding expert. If you have questions about the Baby Cafe, email Katie at kswilson@adcogov.org. All are welcome!
We are excited to host Mothers’ Milk Bank at our Brighton WIC office! By donating breastmilk, you can provide critical nutrition for a baby in need. Just one ounce of breastmilk could make all the difference in supporting a premature baby’s growth and development.
